Elliott The Contender

Preston accompanied me to my doctor appointment today. He got to hear Elliott's heart beat again. I love seeing Preston light up about things Elliott related. The doctor said that Elliott must not like being touched (at least in the womb) because every time she moved the device toward him to hear the heart beat he would hit it and move away so we couldn't hear his heart. It was pretty funny. He's already a lot like me. Stubborn little guy. The doctor also said that she guesstimates that he is about 7 1/2 pounds right now, so he will probably be about 8 lbs or a little more when he is born. Like I said, I am sure my baby will be more than 8 lbs and therefore we have little if any need for "newborn" clothing. Preston asked me if it would be possible to be induced so I can have the baby early. I told him I wished that were possible, but no. He is just so anxious to hold the little guy. I told him he'll have plenty of opportunity to hold him... going back and forth to the changing table.
