I realize its been over a week now and I haven't posted anything about thanksgiving. I know, I'm awful. Thanksgiving was great. We went up to my parents for a few days and had our amazing feast. We were all supposed to be in charge of a dish or two so that my mom didn't end up having to do everything. And of course, as it panned out, mom did indeed do most everything. She really is the best. Unfortunately I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked. But here are some (only one of which is very thanksgiving-y.
Hayes was a hungry boy.
The first to sit down and demand that we all follow his example. Isn't the meal beautiful?
These were the outcome of that demand.
This one will take some explaining. My parents recently bought a puppy, Ruby. As most puppies, Ruby is not yet house trained and therefore tends to leave some very nasty presents for my parents...and in this case, for Vernon (my brother-in-law, Hayes and Ella's dad) When Vernon realized he had stepped in Ruby's gift to him, he kinda freaked. Guess he doesn't care for fecal matter much. Vernon decided that the best way to get himself clean was to wash his sock, foot and pants in the KITCHEN sink while there were still DISHES, which we eat off of, in it. I wont go into visual details, but yeah. It was sick.
It was a wonderful thanksgiving. The food was delicious but nothing compared to the company.
